Welcome!
I am a licensed psychologist, a certified Imago relationship therapist and a certified EMDR therapist. I provide confidential psychotherapy in a nonjudgmental, supportive environment. I work with adults – individuals and couples. I consider myself to be an active therapist who is practical, empathic and open to learning about your perspective. Together, we can improve the quality of your life, giving you greater confidence in who you are.
My goal is to assist clients in gaining self-awareness, insight and the skills needed for resolving difficult issues interfering with living a deeply satisfying life. I will help you understand your patterns of coping so that you can strengthen those that work and replace the ones that are interfering with your building the life you want to live. I may draw upon a variety of treatment strategies including, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), IMAGO Therapy for couples, EMDR and mindfulness strategies. I consider the whole person to be important in therapy. This includes addressing such things as sleep patterns, physical activity and nutrition.
If you are struggling with issues such as panic disorder or other forms of anxiety, depression, communication difficulties in your relationship(s), poor self-esteem, navigating transitions, coping with a partner or family member who struggles with addiction or a mood disorder, or just needing extra support in order to make one of life's many decisions, I can help.
We can meet in person, by phone, FaceTime, Zoom or Skype.
Please contact me with questions or to discuss your individual needs. I look forward to hearing from you.
